Job Summary:

Assists Engineer(s) in application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering

technology with special emphasis on computer aided drafting and preparation of subdivision and roadway construction plans.

Essential Duties:

• Reviews project requirements and goals, and confers with Engineer on plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design development and preparation of technical support calculations and reports.

• The successful candidate will be able to produce drawings, layouts, quantity take offs, sketches, maps, and graphic representations as directed by the Engineer.

• May be asked to work in MicroStation and AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

• Experience in MicroStation, Geopak and FDOT style roadway plan preparation preferred.

• Formal training and/or roadway design/drafting in AutoCAD is also considered a plus.

• Work requires close vision, the ability to distinguish and identify colors and the ability to use a computer keyboard.

• Work involves sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
